The Pattern Club is not a team project. It is not a design studio. It is me.
I started designing patterns years ago because I wanted something that felt clear, structured, and intentional. Over time that turned into Stitchonomy, a platform where I have shared thousands of designs with a growing community of stitchers around the world. The Pattern Club grew out of that same foundation, but in a more focused and intimate way.
Why I created The Pattern Club
After running Stitchonomy for years, I noticed something. Some stitchers enjoy browsing and choosing individual patterns. Others prefer rhythm. They like knowing that something new is coming. They enjoy working within a theme. They want continuity instead of one-off downloads.
The Pattern Club exists for that second group.
It gives me space to design in series, to explore themes more deeply, and to build something ongoing rather than starting from scratch every time.
How I design
I design digitally, but I think structurally. Before I add details, I build a clear foundation. Composition, balance, readability. If a design does not feel calm and logical underneath, it does not move forward.
That approach developed over years of building Stitchonomy. Through trial, refinement, and feedback from thousands of stitchers, I learned that clarity matters more than decoration. A pattern should guide you, not overwhelm you.
In The Pattern Club, that philosophy becomes even more intentional. Because I release patterns within a membership format, I can design with continuity in mind. Themes connect. Colours echo across releases. Structures repeat in subtle ways.
Built around real life
I run this business while travelling part of the year and working from home the rest of the time. That reality influences how I design. Patterns need to be practical. They need to make sense on a laptop screen in a café, but also on a quiet desk at home. They need to work for people who stitch in the evenings, in short bursts, or during busy seasons.
The Pattern Club reflects that balance: structured, but flexible. Thoughtful, but not overly complicated.
The connection to Stitchonomy
The Pattern Club is created by Stitchonomy, but more accurately, it is created by the same person behind Stitchonomy. Stitchonomy remains the broader platform where my full collection and long-term development live. The Pattern Club is a focused space within that larger ecosystem.
Everything I have learned through years of designing, testing, refining, and running a creative business feeds directly into this membership. There is no separate team. No external studio. Just me, building patterns carefully and consistently.
Why this matters
A membership only works if there is trust. Trust that the patterns will be clear. Trust that the structure will hold. Trust that I will keep showing up and releasing new work.
The Pattern Club is my way of building that trust over time, one carefully designed release at a time.
